The production-ready prototype of the ROFOBOX initially consists of three functional units:

- Feeding unit – simple manual process for one person and the cleaned napkins are only exposed to indoor air

- 3D folding unit – safely protected and enclosed; image recognition and analysis through special camera technology and software ensures that only perfect napkins are processed – damaged ones are automatically sorted out. Depending on the selected napkin shape, the robotic technology selects the innovative folding tool from the tool station.

- Storage unit – the folded napkins, which will be of different widths depending on their shape, will be automatically and carefully placed into boxes and securely stacked onto trolleys equipped with transport boxes - ready for Mise en Place.

ROFOBOX is modular, i.e. depending on the customer’s request; the functional units can be adjusted and expanded.

User-friendly – easy-to-understand instructions mean that virtually anyone is able to operate the machine reliably and safely after a short period of training by ROFOBOX.

The desired number of clean napkins is simply fed into the ROFOBOX.

The desired napkin shape is selected by means of a modern control mechanism - you press START and the machine does the work for you.

ROFOBOX is fully automatic and works with robots which are suitable for clean rooms, in a protected and enclosed environment at any time.

The prepared napkins are now ready to be picked up in a trolley, ready for the Mise en Place.

Process reliability - the highly reliable machine has a technical availability of more than 98%! The machine is designed to last at least ten (10) years – based on the availability of spare parts. The machine’s service life can be up to 15 years – if it is serviced at regular intervals.

ROFOBOX currently offers automated folding for the following napkin shapes: Square Napkin, Hedgehog Napkin, Bishop's Hat Napkin, Candle Napkin (without seam), Wave Napkin, Table Edge Napkin, The Slide Fold Napkin und Pyramid Napkin .

Depending on the napkin’s shape and given the current stage of development, the folding time is approx. 40 seconds and no more than approx. 60 seconds. ROFOBOX can thus fold at least 500,000 napkins per year – fully automatically, hygienically, very uniformly and reliably, for many years.

Any minor faults can be easily remedied by following the easy-to-use instructions. If an operator gets stuck, he can follow the online support via VPN, where the solution is explained comprehensibly and step by step to the user.

Our concept also includes on-site service – just in case, because the automation processes place very little burden on ROFOBOX.
